What Matters to Rick
Since relocating to the DC-Maryland-Virginia area in 2019, Rick has worked with multiple non-profits and Churches to address issues that matter to the community; from delivering food to hospital workers during COVID, volunteering at the Shepherd’s Table, supporting the Point in Time Count for the county’s displaced individuals, Ricky has sought to make a difference one day at a time.
In 2020, Rick found a Home in Rockville, sold his House in Georgia and relocated his wife and kids here. The Family needed a solid school system for the kids, safe streets, close proximity to mass transit, friendly neighbors, maintained playgrounds and parks, reliable job opportunities, affordable homes and a well-run municipal government. Rockville was the only answer to the family’s requirements for a new Home.

Educational Experience
Rick has been extremely fortunate to pursue a strong education. Each educational opportunity has helped expand Ricky’s perspective and hone his critical thinking.
Rick intends to leverage a diverse background in business administration, financial literacy, and comprehension in next generation technology to enhance efficiency and optimize how we spend our taxpayers’ money and time.
Work Experience
12 Year in the US Navy: Project management & mentorship.
3 Years at Frito Lays: Team management, project management, logistics and distribution management and productions scheduling
Currently at Accenture Federal Services as a Management Consultant for the past 4 years: Risk management, transformational leader, project and program management and streamline processes.
Leadership Experience
Rick spent the bulk of his professional experience in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Officer. Rick thoroughly enjoyed leading by example, leading from the front, being the first to arrive and last to leave. Rick managed projects in his Navy career, focusing on maintaining safety standards aimed at completing the mission and bringing his Sailors home.
I will harness my Naval Officer background, business training, and leadership experience to bring together an action-oriented City Council.
